After the first ever Christmas recording from Andrea Gerak, Byla cesta, byla ušlapaná, here is the next one: Štědrej večer nastal which is also from another part of Czechia: a Moravian traditional coral, about the Christmas Eve.
I am singing these songs live, in wonderful places with wonderful acoustics in Bohemia, like the medieval fairy tale town Cesky Krumlov.
You can hear the raw recording, without cuts and studio work – just as if you were standing there with me in that moment, listening to me singing and looking at what I can see, through the camera.
The tracks will be published one by one, as the right moment presents itself for singing, in December of 2017.
I made this recording in Cesky Krumlov, under the arcades of the City Hall building. As live as it can get: you can also hear a lady who was walking by with her toddler granddaughter, humming along for a moment, and at the end we exchange a few words, wishing Veselé vánoce.
The video you can see here is also Cesky Krumlov: on the second Advent Sunday, we had such a beautiful snow, so I just had to sing a little bit on the wooden bridge in the Old Town. Isn´t the whole setting magical? Asian tourists enjoyed it, too. My singing and the whole sound is a little bit different, and you will get the audio as a download bonus with the album.
